Terms of Use

Effective date: June 18, 2026

These Terms govern use of MedGuard AI.

Educational Use Only

MedGuard AI is an educational support tool for organizing medication information and reviewing possible interaction concerns. It is not a medical device approval, diagnosis tool, treatment plan, prescription service, pharmacy service, or replacement for a qualified healthcare professional.

No Medication Changes

Do not stop, start, or change any medication without consulting a qualified healthcare professional. Always ask a pharmacist, doctor, or other qualified healthcare professional before acting on medication information.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for confirming OCR results, medication names, active ingredients, warnings, timing instructions, and profile selection before relying on app output. Labels, pharmacy instructions, and clinician guidance should be treated as authoritative.

Interaction Data

The app may use RxNorm, DailyMed, OpenFDA, local verified fixtures, or other approved data sources to support medication normalization and interaction review. Missing or unknown data must not be interpreted as a guarantee that no concern exists.

AI Explanations

AI may simplify verified evidence into plain English. AI must not invent medical facts, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or recommend medication changes.

Subscriptions

Paid plans may unlock additional scans, history, family profiles, caregiver tools, or reminders. Subscription pricing and availability are managed through App Store in-app purchases.

Privacy

Use of MedGuard AI is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedGuard AI is provided without warranties that medication data, OCR, interaction checks, AI explanations, or reminders will be complete, current, or error-free.
